Arsenal will offer Chelsea winger Willian a three-year contract in order to bring him to the Emirates for next season, according to David Ornstein.

However, Orenstein also states that another unnamed club remains in the race to sign the 31-year-old, which could affect Arsenal’s chances of bringing in the winger.

Arsenal Set to Offer Willian Three-Year Deal

Arsenal Bound

Willian reportedly received four offers recently, from Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter Miami.

But, the Brazilian has reportedly chosen two options, which include Arsenal and one other unnamed team.

The 31-year-old turned down a two-year contract offer from Chelsea, as reported by Fabrizio Romano yesterday. He wants a three-year contract instead.

Arsenal appear eager to sign the Brazilian winger and will include the additional year Willian wants on his contract to attract him the Emirates.

Gunners manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu seem appealing to the Chelsea winger, which could persuade him to sign for Arsenal.

Also working in Arsenal’s favour is the claim that Willian wants to stay in London. His agent, Kia Joorabchian claimed Willian received five offers in total, but is keen to stay in the capital.

Arsenal Facing Competition

Although Willian narrowed down his options from four offers to two, Arsenal may not secure the Brazilian’s signatures without competition.

The unnamed club may also make a bid for the Brazilian which could cause problems for Arsenal.

Chelsea seems unlikely to continue negotiations. Frank Lampard brought in new forwards Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech recently in Willian’s position.

However, Lampard wants to keep Willian at Stamford Bridge, but does not want to provide the third year which he is asking for.

Willian played 47 times for Chelsea in all competitions this season. The Brazilian scored 11 goals and made nine assists.

He joined the club in 2013 from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala for £31.5 million and made over 300 appearances for the Blues.
