Editorial (August 23, 2018) – Europe’s top football leagues will have great matches this weekend as the season has just started.

Best Matches To Watch Out For In European Football This Weekend

There will be huge clashes as many world-class players are ready to show up while some others battle with injuries. These are the best games so far this weekend in Europe:

Spain

Barcelona visits the Estadio José Zorrilla on Saturday to face off Real Valladolid in order to maintain their kick off strong. The Cataluna club started the season scoring their 6,000th goal in La Liga with Messi netting twice in the 3-0 win against Alaves.

On the other hand, Real Madrid will also travel to play Girona on Sunday, while Atletico Madrid host Rayo Vallecano.

England

The leading Manchester City visit Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday to keep his winning start streak. Belgian Kevin De Bruyne will be out at least three months due to a knee ligament damage he suffered in a training session last week.

De Bruyne was City’s most outstanding player last season but Josep Guardiola’s team have enough depth to pull this off.

In the anxiety of not winning yet, Arsenal will welcome West Ham in an attempt to earn their first points of the season. The North London team rebuild is not going well after losing to Man City and Chelsea in the first two matchups.

Liverpool sees Brighton on Saturday meanwhile Chelsea will play Newcastle on Sunday. Both Liverpool and Chelsea are behind Man City in the top three.

The most entertained match so far is Manchester United vs Tottenham despite this duel will be on Monday 27, at Old Trafford.

Italy

Cristiano Ronaldo will have his second chance to reach the net after he went scoreless in the Juventus 3-2 victory over Chievo Verona. Juve host Lazio on Saturday in what will be Ronaldo first match in Juventus Stadium.

The same day, Napoli will face off AC Milan and on Sunday Inter Milan play against Torino at Giuseppe Meazza in another Serie A classic showdown.

Roma battles Atalanta while Fiorentina plays Chievo.

France

Neymar and his Paris Saint-Germain side play Angers on Saturday in hopes to keep their superiority in the Ligue 1. In addition, Marseille vs Rennes and Bordeaux vs Monaco both will be on Sunday.

Germany

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will start the 2018-19 season on Friday playing against Hoffenheim. The Bavarians aspire to win the domestic league for the seventh straight season.

Yet, Borussia Dortmund hots RD Leipzig on Sunday.
